Alleged poll fraud threatens to delay nat'l canvassing

To prevent lawmakers from using the canvass starting next week to air their complaints on the alleged cheating at the local level, Nograles activated the Joint Congressional Oversight Committee on automation, co-chaired by Makati Rep. Teodoro Locsin Jr. and Senator Francis "Chiz" Escudero. He wants all lawmakers to bring their complaints to the oversight committee instead of the canvass committee.

Among those who have raised alleged instances of fraud through the PCOS machines were Locsin’s wife, who is vying for his House seat as he is on his 3rd term, and Quezon City Rep. Mat Defensor, who noted one instance where a PCOS machine allegedly transmitted a predetermined result that did not tally with the votes.
