Last 3 senators proclaimed today

THE Commission on Elections is looking to proclaim today the last three winning candidates in the senatorial race.

Comelec Spokesman James Jimenez said Saturday night there were still some three million uncanvassed votes that could decide the last three winners. However, he said it might not be necessary to wait for all the three million before the Comelec, sitting as the National Board of Canvassers, can proclaim the last three.

"Our basis is kung hindi na significant yung natitira sa magiging final count, then, we will start proclaiming… Probably by afternoon, since the canvassing is continuing throughout the day," Jimenez said.
