Osmeña was supposed to be the campaign manager of Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero, until the latter decided to drop his presidential bid last year. The two joined the Aquino campaign although Escudero made it clear that he had committed his support in the vice presidential race to Binay.

Escudero and the gay party-list group, Ang Ladlad, are the leading endorsers of a “Noy-Bi” tandem (Noynoy-Binay).

Still, the LP had welcomed Escudero’s support because initial surveys had shown the race to be tight in Bicol, Escudero’s vote-rich province.
