From Philippine Start
In the event of a failure of election, former President Joseph Estrada would not endorse anyone, not even his son, Sen. Jinggoy Estrada, to the Senate presidency.
Estrada said he would neither support the bid of Sen. Francis Escudero for the Senate presidency.
Estrada is the godfather in the wedding of Escudero, who has openly supported the presidential bid of Sen. Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III over his "ninong.”
But Escudero endorsed Estrada's running mate Makati mayor Jejomar Binay.
Being former senator himself, Estrada said he will just leave the decision to the members of the Senate, saying they cannot be dictated and everyone should respect their independence.
